Our Directors

Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, Mr John Onojeharho and Mrs Ufuoma E-Ashogbon are the three founding trustees of Fair Life Africa Foundation.  They are the Team behind the FLA Team, who direct the organisation and its initiatives, and personally fund its programmes.

Ufuoma Emerhor-Ashogbon is the Chief Executive Officer of Fair Life Africa Foundation.  She is a trained and qualified social worker, a first class graduate from Manchester Metropolitan University, in the UK, where she studied Social Work.  She had prior experience in social care, working and volunteering in the UK social sector as a care worker and children’s advocate.

She is also an avid blogger, sharing inspirational, thought-provoking and spiritual content on her blog, ufuomaee.com.  As Ufuomaee, she also provides business solutions (especially through website creation and maintenance), to new and/or small businesses and NGOs.

Olorogun O’tega Emerhor is the Chairman of the Board.  He is also the Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer of Standard Alliance Group, the lead corporate partner with Fair Life Africa Foundation. He holds a 1983 First Class Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

He trained and worked with the renowned international Accounting firm – PriceWaterhouse, now PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He held various executive positions in a number of banks and until July 1995, he was the pioneer Managing Director/CEO of Crystal Bank, later to be Standard Trust Bank and now UBA Plc after the banking industry consolidation.

Emerhor chairs the boards of numerous companies and is also a director in a number of blue-chip companies. He is the Vice Chairman, SA Insurance Plc, Chairman, SA Life Assurance Ltd; Lagoon Homes Savings & Loans Ltd; SA Properties Ltd; SA Capital & Asset Management Ltd; Heroes Group of Companies; Synetics Technologies and Director, Transcorp Hilton and Ikoyi Hotels, to list these few.

A recipient of the national honour, Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) and the Nigerian Golden Jubilee Award for Insurance Services, Olorogun Emerhor is a holder of the prestigious Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Leadership Award and also Mid-West Personality of Year, among several other awards. He is a frontline member, African Business Leadership Forum; fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN); fellow, Institute of Credit and Risk Management of Nigeria; fellow, Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies and member, Institute of Marketing Consultants, among others.

John Ejovwoke Onojeharho brings a lot of insight to the trio.  He is the Managing Director of the Standard Alliance Properties and holds a second class upper degree in Developmental Sociology from the University of Calabar, where he won both the prize for the best grandaunt in the Faculty of Social Science and the Department of Sociology.

He holds a Masters in Industrial and Labour Relations from the Delta State University Abraka. He is an Associate member of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations.  Mr Onojeharho had previously worked with the Shell Petroleum Development Company Nig. Ltd. He was Manager Public Affairs in the Western Operation in Warri. His last job was Manager Corporate Issues Management and Planning in the Lagos Corporate office. He attended senior management courses both locally and abroad including the EP Leadership Programmes for high flyers.
