Job Title – Public Relations Officer

Job Summary:

Fair Life Africa Foundation is seeking a skilled and passionate Public Relations (PR) Officer to join our team. As a PR Officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective PR strategies, maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring clear communication with the media and the public. Your creativity, organizational skills, and ability to handle crises will be essential in this role.


  1. Develop PR Campaigns and Media Relations Strategies:
    • Create and execute PR campaigns that align with our organization’s goals.
    • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, to ensure consistent messaging.
    • Maintain open communication with senior management regarding PR initiatives.
  2. Content Creation and Editing:
    • Edit and update promotional materials such as brochures, videos, and social media posts.
    • Prepare and distribute press releases to relevant media outlets.
    • Craft compelling keynote speeches and other promotional content.
  3. Organize PR Events:
    • Coordinate events such as our Valentine Lunches and press conferences.
    • Serve as the company’s spokesperson during these events.
  4. Seek Partnerships and Sponsorships:
    • Identify opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising.
    • Foster positive relationships with potential collaborators.
  5. Media Monitoring and Industry Trends:
    • Address inquiries from the media and other interested parties promptly.
    • Track media coverage related to our organization.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and adapt PR strategies accordingly.
  6. Prepare and Submit PR Reports:
    • Compile data and insights related to PR efforts.
    • Present regular reports to senior management.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Public Relations Officer or in a similar PR role.
  • Background in managing media relations (online, broadcast, and print).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and social media platforms.
  • Familiarity with project management software and video/photo editing tools is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Excellent organizational abilities and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Creative mindset and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BA) in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
