Percentage of Goal (N21,000,000) Raised

In January 17th 2023, Malik was admitted to Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) and had his first dialysis on January 18th 2023. Between January and February, 18 dialysis sessions were done. Malik was advised by a doctor to relocate to Lagos and be with his family. He flew into Lagos from Jos on Thursday February 23rd 2023. They had to travel by air because of the strenuous exercise of road travel. He is currently receiving treatment at Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).

Last year, we raised over N3mil for Malik, before we discontinued the campaign following a report from his doctor. We have been using the funds raised to support Malik’s recovery, paying for his treatment and medication, pending when we can get the support to pay for or contribute towards his surgery. Because of our support, Malik hasn’t needed dialysis since November 2023. He continues to take medication for his condition, and we are also supporting him with an allowance for his feeding, which will help him stay healthy.

Regardless, Malik still needs a kidney transplant, and we join him to ask for you continued support. Your donations will help to keep him in good health and go towards his kidney transplant. We will also keep you updated with quarterly reports on how he is doing. You can read up on past and current updates at
